REQUIREMENTS OF METAL ROOFING MATERIAL WILL BE IN THE HANDS OF ACCESSIBILITY
Metal Roofing material has to be selected based on the requirement of the roofing structure. There are various types of metal roofs available in a range of metal roofing materials, such as,
Copper – costlier types, has high resale value because it is easily recycled for potential uses. It also gives elegant patina to the building. Especially used for the interiors and smaller areas.
Corrugated galvanized steel – this is made of wrought iron steel sheets, famous even these days. Available in numerous grades (thickness). These types are coated on both the sizes to make it more corrosion resistant.
Zinc- mostly used as a base metal, and it is rust resistant. It gives less glossy gray look and it is malleable.
Aluminum – little expensive than steel ones, but long-lasting.
Stainless steel – available in distinctive designs and suitable for harsh temperatures and it gives bright, metallic-silver finish to the structure.
Stone coated steel – natural element coated with a tint of colorful ceramic and acrylic gel.
Terne – made of tin and lead coated on steel, one of the cheapest forms of Roofing Materials.
Lastly, metal roofing material is usually coated with ceramic and epoxy to make it anti-rust and increase its life span.
